Neo Bomberman is an action maze game. In this game, the player controls the main characters, whose main goal is to use bombs to destroy all of the monsters that are present on the playing area. A gateway leading to the next location is unlocked after killing every creature on a level.

Soft Blocks can be bombed by players to assist eliminate adversaries and uncover beneficial resources. Such things include those that increase the number of bombs that can be planted simultaneously, their range or detonation, or their speed.
There are also tools for manufacturing remote-controlled bombs, kicking through soft blocks, kicking and dumping bombs, and concurrently penetrating multiple blocks. After defeating enemies, the player can now ride or drive them, and later levels also give the player the option to rescue additional Bomberman characters who will aid them for the remainder of the level.
