Play retro game New Rally X on your browser free. New Rally X is an arcade game from 1981 that lets you drive through a maze. It uses technology that is similar to the one that came before it, and as the name suggests, it is an updated version of the game that came out the year before.
Graphics that are a little better, gameplay that is a little easier, new music, and a "Lucky Flag" (with the letter "L") that, when collected, gives the player extra points for how much fuel they still have. If there are still flags left, the round will continue. The mazes are mostly the same, but some of the Rally-X blocks have been turned into roads to cut down on dead ends, and the flags and rocks have been moved around. This game was made in larger quantities and was more well-liked (at least in Japan) than the one that came before it.
A blue race car is driven by the player. The goal is to get ten yellow flags out of the maze before the fuel bar runs out. There are eight regular flags, one "special" flag, and one "lucky" flag in each round. Once you get this special flag, every other flag you get after it gives you twice as much score until the level is over. Based on the amount of fuel the player has, the lucky flag gives extra points. It wasn't in the original game.
Red cars that are enemies try to hit the player's car, which costs one life. At the cost of fuel, a button lets out a smoke screen that stops the red cars from moving for a short time if they hit it. If you run into a boulder in the maze, you will hazard.
There is a bonus round called "Challenging Stage" after the third level and every fourth one after that. In this round, red cars stay still until the player runs out of fuel.
