The game's components are as follows: 

The 100-meter dash
Long jump
Javelin throw
110-meter hurdles
Hammer throw
High jump
The number of lives a participant has is reduced by one for being ineligible (in a single event or three attempts in other events), but the game is ended if none of their lives are available.

A player might need to achieve a certain time or qualifying standard to move on to the next event. A new life is awarded to gamers after they reach 100,000 points.
