A city-building simulation video game called SimCity 2000 was created by Maxis' Will Wright and Fred Haslam. In the years that followed, it was added to more systems, including the SNES in 1995 and the Sega Saturn video game console.

In this game, the player must deal with a disaster and rebuild the city in order to meet certain requirements and win.
