The Jungle Book is one of the most well-known Disney animated films, first appearing in 1967 and being remade in 1994.

In a similar vein to Pitfall!, the player controls a young Mowgli through a variety of side-scrolling stages. The game's protagonist, Mowgli, must run, leap, climb vines, use numerous weapons and powerups, shoot or evade adversaries, and navigate platformed stages and foes. Initially equipped with a banana projectile, Mowgli can later acquire invincibility masks, coconuts, double banana shoots, and boomerang bananas.

By gathering enough gems and then locating a particular character who has been placed in the level, levels can be finished. In addition to possessing fruits and other goods that increase the player's in-game score, the player gains points by acquiring gems.

Reduce your needs to the very minimum... and lead Mowgli through the forest to the safety of the human village. In this thrilling quest based on the Disney classic, battle Kaa the boggle-eyed snake and vanquish Shere Khan the ravenous tiger! You'll go wild over it!
