Prologue

The game is viewed from a corner first-person perspective within a three-dimensional environment, and the player has limited ability to move forward, reverse, turn, sprint, and gaze behind them. The game is completed in „dreams“ or „levels“ that can last up to ten minutes.

Each player's dream commences in a randomly selected location, which they are free to explore. By traversing specific tunnels or entering any object, the player will be instantly transported to an alternate environment.

A number of static and well-defined environments are available for exploration in LSD, including, among others, a Japanese village, a field, a city, residences, and a factory. Although the environments remain static, the default textures are occasionally modified, and for added variety, they may also be filled with randomly positioned creatures, objects, and characters.
